I'm Back...

I'm Back...

Hello world, it's been a while! 

I thought I'd get back into the world of blogging after being inspired, as many aspiring writers have, by a girl. Not just any girl, but a truly incredible one!

Handsome and not me...

This fairytale of modern life has to begin somewhere, so why not right here! For those who don't know me, I'm Jamie. I also respond to Jim, Jay, Jimbob, Jammie, Jaime and on weekends, Sally (but we don't talk about that very often!) Heh heh! Just don't call me James... long story!

I don't consider myself handsome and I'm far from a slender man, but I don't feel the need to apologise for that any longer. I'm large, hairy and speak like an express train. A proud Tyke with a heart of gold, reasonable wit and quick to laugh.

My employer...

I earn my living for a local social housing company as a IT tech support fella, basically I have a knack for fixing stuff of a electronic nature, be it phones, tablets or PC's and I'm pretty handy when it comes to data analysis which means I'm good with spreadsheets, databases and have a pretty good eye for detail. I love my work, its what I've wanted to do for a while and whilst I'm still growing into my role, I think I belong for the first time in ages!

Life hasn't always been good, in fact its been downright horrific at times. The obstacles I've put in my own way, driving friends away, losing touch with people and challenges I've faced such as seeing my darling nan slip away into dementure over the last few years, my dad slowly losing his missus to cancer, seeing friends suffer, have driven me to near despair.

Despite that, from the depths of despair, real optimism has flourished in abundance these past few weeks and it's largely thanks to a girl... not just any girl...

...an incredible one!
